The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) ran Sept. 13–17, 2025 in Las Vegas. In a Sept. 23, 2025 release, organizers called it the largest show in IBIE’s 105-year history: 1,005 exhibitors (including hundreds of first-timers), a sold-out 451,100 sq. ft. of exhibit space (+9% vs. 2022), and more than 250 IBIEducate sessions and demos included for registrants.

IBIE is jointly owned by the American Bakers Association (ABA) and Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA), with Retail Bakers of America support. The floor spans wholesale and retail baking plus allied ingredients, equipment, packaging, snack, and pizza verticals — the same CapEx categories tortilla and flatbread plants shop when upgrading lines, pack-off, or formulation.

Attendance was slightly softer in some cuts (overall registration down about 4%; baker attendance down about 8% vs. 2022), but organizers stressed qualified buyers: 91% of attendees identified as purchasing decision-makers or influencers, with 96 countries represented. Chair Jorge Zarate (Grupo Bimbo) tied leaner teams to economic and travel pressure while highlighting company participation and floor energy.

Calendar clarity for plant planners: IBIE is triennial. There is no IBIE in 2026. The next Baking Expo returns to Las Vegas in 2028. bakingexpo.com currently advertises Sept. 9–13, 2028; the Sept. 23, 2025 post-show “Looking Ahead” paragraph said Sept. 10–13, 2028. Confirm the final public dates on BakingExpo.com before locking travel. Until then, use PACK EXPO, TIA Tech/Europe, ASB BakingTECH, and iba Munich for nearer equipment and education stops.
