Harold Evan Gooch of the Rosemount / Inver Grove Heights, Minn., area died suddenly May 30, 2026, at age 73, according to Roberts Funeral & Cremation Chapel. He was born Dec. 28, 1952, in Duluth.

With wife Cathy Cruz Gooch, he helped build Catallia Mexican Foods from early home-based production in Inver Grove Heights into a manufacturing operation serving grocery and national accounts. The funeral notice said he wore early hats across accounting, logistics, distribution, and branding, dedicated nearly 41 years to the tortilla business, and most recently served as chief financial officer.

He is survived by Cathy and children Dan, Michael, and Annette, whom the obituary said will carry the business forward. Visitation and funeral Mass were held in late June in Inver Grove Heights and Rosemount.
