Heat and Control said founder Andy Caridis died peacefully June 29, 2026, at age 105. The company’s Aug. 10, 2026 press release from Hayward, Calif., framed a roughly 76-year company history built around process innovation and long-term customer partnerships.
The release said Caridis was enthusiastic about products made with corn and proud to grow alongside tortilla and snack manufacturers. It also noted Tortilla Industry Association Hall of Fame recognition in 2021.
PotatoPro and other trade outlets republished the company statement in mid-August. The Caridis family asked that, in lieu of flowers, supporters consider local education or training programs.
