The Sherman Economic Development Corporation reported a Feb. 18, 2026, groundbreaking for a Lawrence Equipment corn-mill production facility at 4811 Tortilla Way in Progress Park, Sherman, Texas.
The plant will support Molinos USA, a wholly owned Lawrence subsidiary, as a modern milling operation serving food-production customers. SEDCO and Lawrence family remarks framed the project as a long-term industrial investment in Sherman’s manufacturing base.
SEDCO’s board approved up to $1.3 million in financial assistance for the corn mill in 2024. SEDCO estimates the total capital investment at about $35 million, with about 25 jobs, once all phases are complete, according to its 2024-25 program of work (opens in new tab). Construction was underway at the time of the SEDCO release.
