How we report

Tortilla News covers the business of making tortillas: plants, ingredients, equipment, packaging, regulation and the people behind them. Most stories are short briefs built from public sources, such as company announcements, government filings, trade press and local news. We link to every source so you can read the original.

We use images only when the source clearly permits it, such as photos released for media use, and we credit them. We don't use company logos without permission. When use isn't clearly allowed, the story runs text-only. We never use AI-generated images of real people, places or products.

Advertising is kept separate from news coverage, and sponsors don't get a say in what we report. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction on the story. Send tips and corrections to newsletter@tortillanews.com.

Monetization (honest)

Revenue is ads first: display, newsletter sponsorships, labeled sponsored/native supplier briefs, and category sponsorships. Later: Buyer’s Guide listings, webinars, and a PDF annual (State of the Tortilla Industry). We do not blur news and promotion — sponsored cards carry a clear SPONSORED chip.

How the feed works

Daily briefs are short (often 150–300 words) with outbound links to original sources when we aggregate. This draft is a static wireframe; story cards already link to an article template or the source.
